Assumedly, after DeWalt read my review I was contacted by email, instructing me to call them---at the same number I was put on hold forever before. Obviously, there is no real communication within this company.
However, a friend was able to remove my blade and discovered that the factory had put Loctite Blue 242 Threadlocker on the bolt threads!!! No wonder it was nearly impossible to remove! Given DeWalt incompetence in customer service, I'm done with this company.
I have a Milwaukee saw and had nothing but great experiences with that company. Ciao DeWalt!
My DeWalt 27 cc 2-cycle edger has a problem, so I called DeWalt's 'customer service.' It should instead be called Dante's Seven Circles of *** I called once and I was told to call another number. I did that and no one would answer (45 minutes on hold).
I called back to the main number and I was transferred to a different number, which stated it was disconnected. I called back to the main number a third time, and I was transferred to yet another different number.
I've been on hold for almost an hour and I have to go to work. I think I need to file a warranty claim, but NO ONE WILL HELP ME!!!
Preferred solution: Get my warranted edger repaired.

I bought online with a gift card so I don't have a paper receipt, so DeWalt's website will not let me register the tool. Very antiquated and difficult website to navigate, and I do not already have an account!
DeWalt has an antiquated website that doesn't let you register the tool for warranty work unless you have a paper receipt, and no provision for a "Continue as Guest" without setting up an account (which I NEVER do).
As a result, I do not have a warranty, so if the tool breaks, I won't get it
fixed, I will trash it and buy from Milwaukee Tools!
Preferred solution: A simpler warranty procedure.

I now have purchased 4 of these dcb208 ( 20v 8ah) battery packs
and 3 out 4 have failed .
It seems like they stop charging approx in a 2-year time frame,
and the warranty is for 3 years. dewalt will Not honor warranty , even though pics were sent including a valid receipt all within the 3 year time frame.
These must have some manufacturing defect for this to happen over and over again.
I do not have this issue with my Kobalt battery packs they are 6 years old and still work good today.
- Pros are that i will never buy again
- Way over priced
- Last only about 2 years
Preferred solution: A replacement of the battery packs that stopped working.

They wont answer their emails, their phone is closed in the middle of business hours with no reason, and they won't contact you about warranties. Don't buy their product until they get their act together.
Their service center phone answering barely speaks English in the USA. Their products break and their service center won't fit their product correctly.

NO CUSTOMER SERVICE
Tried to contact DeWalt, they said that the wait time was 14 minutes. 47 minutes later nobody has still answered the phone.
There's no way to get a hold of an actual person. Terrible customer service actually no customer service I will be buying a different brand.

I purchased an electric power washer DWPW2400 TYPE 10 about a year ago, and it is just quit working the other day while I was using it. So I contacted Dewalt Service Center and they helped me out.
The person I was talking to was very helpful and Curtis also very knowledgeable. They got me a return label sent to me to get it out for repairs.

I needed a part for a circular saw person. I talked to wasn’t very excited about helping me at all. Just said they didn’t have them in stock and that was it.
If theyre in the business of selling parts for tools, have them in stock dont miss lead people that you have it on hand

I was working on a ladder, using the drill when I slipped and it fell with me. The handle of the drill broke in half. It was really a sad moment for me, because I do a lot of work with it.

Just would like to speak to an agent picking a time for them to call back is ridiculous cause I just want them to call back whenever they can. I dont wanna pick the time for them to call me.

They could answer their phone and respond to their emails. They could also fix their repairs and guarantee their products before I stop buying their products.
This is the worst service setup I have ever seen! It's a complete joke and a waste of my valuable time.

We have tried many times this morning to reach DeWalt via phone at 800-433-**** and 877-571-****, but after dialing we get only a dial tone and no answer. We foolishly clicked on the CHAT button, which directed us to enter credit card information for a one-time refundable $5 charge and then autopay $55 monthly membership to JustAnswer.
JustAnswer apparently does not "Just Answer" without access to my bank account; see screenshot. Not cool, DeWalt.

Drill chuck does not seem to tighten enough to keep from spinning drill and ruining them. I was told it was out of warranty, so good luck with that. I have six other battery powered Dewalt item
I have ruined more drills using this product than it's worth. They say it's out of warranty. I have several other delwalt items that I will offload to someone including a brand new inverter(never used) and will look at Milwaukie.

I bought a tire inflator may 14. I used it successfully June 5.
In June 7 it failed
It was advertised to work on 12 volt. So I did not buy the accessory battery charger or lube voltage cord.
Turns out they do not work consistently in 12v and should never have been advertised as such.
The failure happened both within Dewalt and Amazon warranty period however the old car was left out west in Utah for the summer. Just got access to it recently.
So tell me whats fair and just ?? They refused to take any action.

The warranty process is handled outside the US, and their English is not that good. The warranty process could also be streamlined. They need more warranty centers in the US.

I recently purchased a 20v framing hammer. I bought this because I was helping a friend frame a shed.
He has a Milwaukee framing hammer. It worked perfectly. After seeing how well it worked, I bought a DeWalt one because I am brand loyal. I have everything from tape measures to rotary hammers.
The framing hammer was the worst tool I have ever purchased. I spent more time unjamming it than actually working. I returned it back to Home Depot after 2 days of aggravation.
Spending $500.00 is a lot of money to spend just to be aggravated, not to mention the lost time driving back to Home Depot. This entire experience has me really questioning my loyalty to DeWalt.
